Sarah in her walker with bears on it. She was standing here just fine. She could stand in the walker and in the bounce-a- saucer. She could push herself backwards. We ended up bringing the walker to Plaza Real Apartments with us when we moved. Sarah was outgrowing the walker before she could go forward and she started to tip over backward and it got dangerous. We ordered a larger, more expensive walker through Medicaid, called a Gait Trainer and she's just growing into it and has taken great leaps and bounds in learning to walk, but when it comes to pushing the heavy weight of the thing by herself and steering, it's too heavy. The larger one was ordered with a larger "trunk support" and removable parts. She can slip out of the trunk support if she's not in the mood to walk. On days that aren't too hot she can go out to either walk with me or to use her Gait Trainer, but I am careful of her health. She likes to go walking in her stroller too. She does a lot of walking in the house in her own way that's been more beneficial than anything I've seen. I'm very proud of her. We put this out by the dumpster hoping that someone would get it and make use of the walker. I went out to take the trash and found that someone pulled off one of the little bears and left the walker. I thought about bringing it back, but why when it was already torn up. I brought it out and wrote it off to the fact that someone tore up $30.00 worth something that a child could have used. James should have brought it to the Salvation Army. LLO'C
